Does a good job of protecting glasses. I toss them in my work purse & my glasses are still intact even if they work their way to the bottom of my heavy purse.Sadly, this eyeglass case was the same cardboard material as a toilet paper roll ?. In addition , the zipper would not even work. A Valentine’s Day gift for my Mom was not satisfactory at all . Please let the manufacturer know that his description was deceptiveThese showed up at just the right time: I'm leaving next week on a 28-day trip to Hawaii and the South Pacific, so the patterns I received are perfect ("Tropical" -- one has green palm/tropical leaves on a black and white striped background; the other has metallic gold pineapples on a cream background).I tend to evaluate things like this based on functionality and value. So let's start with functionality:Size-wise, they definitely fit my oversized bi-focal sunglasses with a little room to spare (see photo). While I wouldn't say the case is "hard shell" like "hard shell" luggage, it is sturdy enough to protect my glasses from getting totally smashed in my carry-on bag or in my luggage. I accidentally sat on the case with my glasses inside, and they held up just fine (and I'm NOT a small person -- the polite term is "Rubenesque"). So while you CAN press in the flat side of the case, the curved/rounded ends provide some additional stability that should prevent damage in all but the most extreme circumstances (e.g., I don't think they'd survive a car backing over the case). But overall -- definitely functional for most basic needs. Now we come to value, and this is where it gets a bit dicey. Yes, you do get two cases, but I question whether it's worth the cost especially when compared to other products. Granted, this design has the zipper closing while other less pricey oversize cases just use a spring hinge. But I'm not sure a zipper adds that much value. The construction of my set seems fine -- no visible flaws, stitching seems solid, etc., and the fabric lining is smooth. So there's that. You'll have to decide for yourself if the value is there.Bottom line: I do like these cases, they will work fine for my purposes (fairly busy travel schedule over the next 18 months). Solid 4 stars from me.First of all I think the company selling these should take the word "women's" out of the description! I don't think hearts and flowers will drive most men away and you may as well reach the biggest audience possible if you're selling things! One great thing about these bold designs is that you'll spot them if you put them down somewhere!OK, gender aside, these are pretty good cases and they're large enough to hold my big goofy reading glasses or my largest pair of sunglasses, so I think they're big enough to hold most glasses. They cases have a nice zipper closure that I like a lot--they won't pop open as my other hard-shell case does when I drop it (which is almost an hourly happening). The cases offer a fair amount of protection but you could crush them if you put a lot of weight on them (bottom of a big purse maybe) but in normal situations, I think you'll get very good protection. I have a metal hard-shell case that I love but I got it with my (expensive) reading glasses and I've been unable to find another like it. These Tickled Pink cases are probably the next best thing to a metal case--and they are lighter (OK, and prettier).I think perhaps these are a tiny big pricey, but if you're putting a pair of expensive glasses into a suitcase or carry on or a big purse, it's worth protecting them adequately. OK, yes, I'm a guy and I like flowers and hearts! Is that really so bad?Ordered these for my Wife's glasses, she was pleased with them. Liked the style, also liked the colors and patterns. Most important of all, they offer good protection. Something you absolutely need when you have a toddler running around. Could have been a bit slimmer, but she was content with them just the same.
